The story behind Quizworld

Welcome to Quizworld! My name is Ines Walk, and I am happy to tell you my personal story behind this quiz portal. Quizworld is not only a platform to test your knowledge, but also the result of my passion that has grown in me during the Corona period. Here you can find out everything you need to know about me, the creation of Quizworld and the values behind this project.

How it all began: The creation of Quizworld

During the Corona pandemic, when life slowed down and many of us were looking for new ways to occupy ourselves in a meaningful way, I had an idea. I had the desire to create something that would not only entertain but also educate. As an avid generalist interested in a variety of topics – from history and sociology to philosophy, literature, film and music – it was a challenge for me to share my knowledge in an entertaining way.

The idea of founding a quiz platform was born. But how do I turn this vision into reality? A friend with whom I used to go for long walks helped me to develop the concept further. Old contacts led to new ones who helped me to implement the idea technically.

In May 2022, the time had finally come: Quizworld officially went online. What began as a small project of the heart has since developed dynamically and impressively demonstrated the great interest in high-quality knowledge platforms. Today (as of April 2025), Quizworld has over 3,200 carefully created quizzes with more than 31,000 different questions and an active community of over 28,900 registered members who expand their knowledge every day and compete in knowledge duels.

My background: Passion for knowledge and precision

As an experienced online editor with over two decades of experience in the digital sector, including as editor-in-chief at Moviepilot, I have a deep understanding of how complex topics can be prepared and made understandable for a broad audience. My aim is to convey information in such a clear and appealing way that it remains easily accessible and yet exciting. That was also one of the reasons why I created Quizworld: I want to share my knowledge while enabling others to learn in an entertaining way.

I love learning and have studied a lot. History, sociology and philosophy have always fascinated me and I have learned that knowledge exists in many forms and there are always new perspectives to be discovered. This interdisciplinary perspective flows directly into the design and creation of the quiz questions. Versatility is also the basis for the quiz questions. I like to ask questions and find answers that are not only correct, but also interesting and educational. It gives me great pleasure to delve into different subject areas, collect facts and prepare them in such a way that you enjoy solving the quizzes as much as I enjoy creating them.

My approach: preparing and sharing knowledge

I am a fact-oriented person who always makes sure that the information I share is accurate and well-researched. Quizworld is therefore not only a platform for entertainment, but also a place where you can expand and deepen your knowledge. Every article, every quiz and every question is carefully created and checked by me to ensure that the content is based on the latest scientific and historical findings. Should there be any errors, which is inevitable in life, you have the opportunity to help and can report the quiz question. I will endeavor to correct the error as soon as possible and will reply to your report by e-mail. But please: Give me some time to complete the task.

I’m not just interested in asking you questions – I want you to learn something new by solving the quizzes. The fun of the quiz should be just as important as the knowledge you gain. That’s why I find it so exciting to develop quiz questions that are both challenging and insightful. If you want to know how your points are calculated, take a look at the FAQs. The most important questions are answered there, such as the level of difficulty of the questions or the time limit.

Quizworld today: A thriving community

After an intensive development phase, Quizworld went online in May 2022 and the platform has continued to develop ever since. Today, the site includes more than 3,200 quizzes in which you can test your knowledge on over 700 topics. Whether you are interested in general knowledge or want to deepen your knowledge in specific areas such as art, science, literature or film – Quizworld allows you to constantly educate yourself.

But it is not only the variety of topics that makes Quizworld especially. The community also plays a crucial role. More than 28,900 members have already signed up to challenge each other and improve their knowledge skills. You can also rest assured that we take our privacy policy seriously.
