Love and betrayal, dragons and houses, intrigue and battles: Anyone who didn’t have the fantasy series “Game of Thrones” on their radar in the early to mid-2010s was out of this world. To date, no other series has attracted such a large audience worldwide and provoked so many reactions after each episode. That’s why we have various Game of Thrones quizzes for you!

The prequel series “House of the Dragon” is no different. It is also one of those series that is watched by an audience of millions. Although it cannot achieve the same success as the parent series, it has a stable fan base. And the many dragons are definitely convincing.

So it’s no wonder that we not only present a Game of Thrones or Targaryen quiz on quizworld, but also several quizzes with lots of questions and answers at different levels of difficulty and with a wide variety of topics relating to the series and the sequel “House of the Dragon”.

After the stunning success of “Game of Thrones”, it was clear that the stories from Westeros had to continue in some way. In 2018, HBO therefore ordered several prequel series to tell storylines far ahead of the well-known story. Among other things, a series entitled “The Long Night” with leading actress Naomi Watts was planned. There was already a pilot episode, but the project was canceled.

“House of the Dragon” went into production. The story takes place around 200 years before the story from “Game of Thrones” and focuses on House Targaryen. There, a momentous dragon dance takes place, an internal conflict within the family over the succession to the throne. Many Targaryens, Velaryons and dragons have to give their lives for it.

The series has been available on Amazon Prime Video since August 21, 2022. We took a close look at the individual episodes of “House of the Dragon” and accompanied them with quizzes. Whether there will be as many and interesting quiz questions as in the Game of Thrones quizzes remains to be seen.

There are also rumors that the GoT universe will expand and the story of Jon Snow will be told in a new series. Actor Kit Harington would be on board. However, it remains to be seen whether we will actually get to see what the popular character will experience after his banishment behind the wall.
Why is Game of Thrones so important?
The books by US author George R. R. Martin have already become bestsellers. The first novel in the fantasy saga “The Song of Ice and Fire” was published in August 1996. Five volumes had been published by 2011 and the worldwide fan community was eagerly awaiting another bestseller from the author.

The cable channel HBO secured the rights to the bestsellers and also created an audience hit with the eight-part series. HBO set standards in serialized television, as the series brought cinema into the living room. “Game of Thrones” is produced to an extremely high standard, features dramatic storylines and, in addition to dragons, also offers great battles at screen level.
