What is the kettle?
Teekesselchen is a guessing game based on word ambiguities. It involves looking for words that have several meanings and can therefore match different terms. This versatility and wordplay make the quiz an entertaining and educational game for all age groups.
Words with at least two meanings are called homonyms. Homonyms can often lead to misunderstandings, but are also a source of wordplay and linguistic creativity (e.g. “bank” as a seat or financial institution). That’s why you’ll find lots of terms for the kettle with solutions, many of them quite simple, many funny, but some also difficult.
