Pangaea is the name of the primeval continent. At the end of the Permian period, the Earth’s land mass was still contiguous. It was only later – around 100 million years ago – that it separated due to the so-called continental drift and drifted apart. The continents were formed. Even today, they are still moving slowly but steadily and dynamically.
The colonization of the continents depended on the climate. Science assumes that humans originated in Africa . They later migrated to the northeast, colonizing more and more regions. Today, almost 8 billion people live on Earth, and it is predicted that there will be around 10.9 billion people by 2100. Asia currently has the largest population. They make up around 60.5 percent of the world’s population. Asia is also the largest continent in terms of area, covering 44.4 million km2 .

South America is home to the rainforest, while Africa has extensive deserts. This small list can only show part of the diversity of the continents.
