Zeus also had several children on Mount Olympus, whom he fathered with Hera or other goddesses, including the god of war Ares and the goddess of love Aphrodite, the goddess of hunting Artemis and the god of poetry Apollo. They are all described as major gods who fathered countless children with deities or mortals and ruled over many minor deities.
